Come work for one of Hakuba’s most popular Japanese restaurants, Sharaku. Located in the heart of Happo Village, inside the Hakuba Springs Hotel. Join an international team of snow lovers, dedicated to providing the highest level of service and quality of food to our guests.
Sharaku is run by master chef Karaki, who has over 30 years’ experience intimately involved in producing fine Japanese food. Karaki-san operates his own restaurant in Chino, Nagano and this winter will brings his expertise of Nagano produce to Hakuba. Karaki-san is in demand globally, having been invited to guest chef in many fine hotels and restaurants around the world, including prestigious venues in London, Canada, and Tokyo.
The Sharaku menu feature sushi, sukiyaki, and shabu shabu. Dinner seatings are from 6 to 8. We also serve a western and Japanese breakfast every morning for our hotel guests from 7 to 9.
In addition to an open seating area, Sharaku features a sushi bar and a semi-private dining space equipped with tatami flooring and traditional Horigotatsu tables with a recessed floor beneath, allowing guests to enjoy their meals with outstretched legs. The space is intimate, traditional and best experienced with your friends and loved ones.

■Salary
Salary: 1,200JPY per hour 40/hours per week
– Accommodation + two meals a day provided
– 8,400JPY withdrawn from paycheck weekly to cover cost of room and board
– Discounts on Ski Rentals
– Daily Onsen Available
Requirements
– Must be able to commit to entire Winter Season
– Must have working holiday visa or right to work in Japan
– Must be able to communicate in Japanese or English (Japanese preferred)
